I just bought this tonight; I usually clean it before I post. I was trying to look up the serial number and it just did not make sense, so could someone help with that. C 3375xx the C's I thought started with 999999? Thanks 20201123_202009.jpg

20201123_201954.jpg matching grips. I know not a crazy collectable, millions made but I find these revolvers just plan cool. Thanks again!

Indeed, from a few known ship dates of serials in the general neighborhood, mid-to later 1955 is the likely ballpark for yours.

Looks like a very nice one.

Absalom is correct. Yours is in the 1955-56 range. C334459, a 4", shipped in October, 1955. But keep in mind S&W did not ship them in serial order.

the C's I thought started with 999999?
Actually, they ended with C999999, in 1967. The D prefix took over at that time.

That is a nice looking example you found.

Five inchers are pretty cool.

I don't see anything questionable with your serial. C1 came out mid 1948 and the C series ran out with C999999 in 1967.

I also like 5" barrels. I have 2 Victory Models with that barrel (one original BSR and a Navy 38 Special with a 5" replacement barrel) and a Model 10-7 I bought new in 1979.

What's cool on that one is the round butt. Does the SN on the stocks match the gun and can you give us the SN range?

Thanks.

Everything matches. It's a sock drawer gun with just a couple scuffs. Literally: when I got it, I took it apart and cleaned out the lint.

S/N 275520 shipped August 1917 per Mr. Jinks.
