Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and was wanting some advice on a holster for my S&W 500 PC hunter with the 10.5" barrel. I'm currently considering a nylon thigh holster that I've found for a fair price, but my biggest question is has anyone used a thigh holster with a 500 of this barrel length? I'm a fairly tall guy, so I'm certain It will work, just wondering If anyone else out there has tried it. Thanks.

I use a thigh holster for my 500. Its only a 6.5" but Im a small guy. So the size difference should come out in the wash as they say. I will tell you that I need to wear my shoulder holster that pulls the opposite way on the belt than the thigh holster does to keep my britches up.

Thanks guys, I'm going to get my hands on some sort of rig sometime this week and I'll let you know how it works. I'm curious as to how a holstered 10.5" will carry. I originally went for the 7.5" PC but ended up with the 10.5"

This holster is made by a company called Uncle Mikes. The model is a sidekick. To be honest I tried to search their side for this same one to see if I paid too much for it (Dont think I did $40) and I couldnt find the exact model. you might contact them from their website and see if they can come up with one for you
I did some searching for the uncle mikes drop leg holsters for the 500s and didn't come up with much. I did find a few on uncle mikes law enforcement web page but they were only available for the composite guns such as the glock and m&p. I just ordered a drop leg holster off of eBay for my 500 that was made here in the USA for $31 with free shipping, not sure how it will work or the quality but I'll give you a verdict once I try it out. They have all sorts of holsters available and the customer service is great, the seller is kc4kce in case you want to check them out. They originally didn't have the holster I wanted for my gun but after asking they made me a listing just for the one I was looking for.
