57-1

No. The 57 was introduced in 1964 so a Model 57 shares features with a 27-2 or a 29-2 as those models (with the engineering changes) began in 1962. A 57-1 is actually equal to a 27-3 or a 29-3 (all 3 came out in 1982) as those are the models that first eliminated the pinned barrels and recessed chambers and those guns are generally far less sought after than are the early ones.

The 27-1 and 29-1 are uncommon (and to sellers therefore worth millions of dollars) because they were only made for about one year. The 57-1 is not rare nor is it sought by collectors. Pay shooter price.
