I'm looking at a 4" model 57 with display case in about 95%, or slightly less condition, and all original. I'm going to look at GB but I thought I would ask here about opinions on value. The 57's I currently own were bought at very good prices, I believe, so I may have been a little bit spoiled.

If it is a really early version with Cokes and the case, the value could be over $1500. Condition makes a huge difference. Do you have any photos?

No cokes, N prefix from about 1982 (one of the last no-dash). Unfortunately I have no pictures.

Box looked very good with good lining, but I'm not into the display case that much.

I have been seeing nice 4' 57's in similar condition in the 750-900 range. The box would add about $100 for me.

Good luck with your purchase. (41 mag is addictive and wonderful :D )

Thanks. That does help a lot. I will let you know how it goes.

This is my 6". $650 last year as I remember,

There is one right now on GunBroker fitting your description and it is already over a grand... A lot of things out there have dropped in price over the last 9 months...not so quality S&W revolvers, especially N-frames... There are just fewer and fewer of them out there to buy and finding bargains is getting harder and harder....
