Looking at buying a new in box 4" 586-8. What would be a ballpark figure on the south east coast?

I really wanted a pre lock model but A guy offered me this one for $600. Does this sound about right?

Sounds fair to me. I just paid $600.00 for one in like new condition, with no box and papers. They were asking $650.00.

I wouldn't have given any more for the plastic box and stuff, but it would have been nice to have.

I too wanted a pre-lock, but I couldn't resist, I saw a 4" -8 and bought it. Mine was 750+ about 9 months ago. I would jump at 600

Those 586-8's have very nice bluing......

PS: Don't worry about the lock, it's a non issue! People over blown the IL.

Paid $850 for my 4" no dash and it is without a doubt the most accurate pistol I've ever shot.
