OK, I was browsing a LGS recently and saw something that I don’t ever recall seeing before, a 6” 586. The next thing that I know, it followed me home!
There was a bit of rust on the outside of the barrel near the muzzle that cleaned up somewhat and is hard to see after I applied some touch-up blueing. I didn’t even have to clean it up since it’s previous owner did a really nice job of cleaning as a few patches verified. It is a no-dash gun with no M stamp, and target grips.
The only problem I have is that it shoots to the left with the rear sight all the way to the right.
I would add a couple of pictures if I could figure out how to do it.
After a very good range session we walked through their shop. In the revolver case was a consignment 4inch 586 with target stocks, I would rate it at 92-95% condition. Serial # AZB9515. Is it a 586-3? Is it from 1988ish? It was $750.00 and I have it on hold. It would not be a financial hardship, but I didn't buy it because I really wasn't planning on another piece in 2023 and I didn't need to impulse it. I know which way I'm leaning, can any of you give me a push? Please![]()
