586 Holster

Want a leather holster for my 4" 586. What should I get.

What kind of carry are you considering? While I wouldn't personally be carrying concealed with that size revolver, you might be able to pull it off. Galco makes a very nice pancake they call the Combat Master for OWB that I use with my K frame snubby 66. El Paso Saddelry makes any number of high quality classic style OWB holsters that would conceal under a heavy jacket and serve very well for outdoors activities. EPS can also make very dressy presentation holsters, if that's what you desire. I personally like the chest holster system designed by Diamond D Leather for my outdoors carry, since it allows me easy access when I'm carrying a pack. Lots of choices, and you can choose multiple holsters for different tasks. I have three different holsters that fit my 66. Each serves a different purpose.
