tonysoprano,

I have been eyeing of of those. Do you like it? There is one at a gun shop here in Houston, it is kinda expensive, but I really like the looks of it.

How does it shoot? Does it come set up for moonclips, or did you have to modify it for moonclips?

Doc

It shoots like a dream, and it comes already machined to accept moonclips. I would highly recommend buying one.

This is not helping make my second purchase decision this year!

Must Resist!

Well the powers of wheelgundome are strong. I picked one of these last week and I can attest to how well it shoots.(compared to my 2.5 inch 686 plus).

Damn nice revolver! Of course I guess you probably know that already.

Cost aside, the biggest problem for me, would be getting it all scuffed up from carry. Just don't think I could leave her home, when I'm out on the town!

Those factory grips?

Those are factory grips, and it also came with Hogue Bantum rubber grips. As for how much they are selling for currently, I don't know, as I have had this one for a while.

Got mine for 882, other place quoted 940. Guy on this board is selling his for 850.

Mine has knocked my 4" blued Python out of favorite revolver status. I would love to know if anyone can direct me to someone selling more moonclips for the piece though. I have the factory supplied items, and I can find the speedloaders (haven't looked), but can't locate any moonies.

The Highlander

P.S. These things shoot and feel great. I'd like to find a k-comp to go with it too.

Thanks Tony. I've tried gunshows, S&W, Numrich, and Brownell's as well as one of the small makers of plastic moonies. For some reason, didn't even think about Midway. I've never ordered from them, so they don't come to mind I guess.

This thread has cost me money. I was looking them up online and found this site. I looked at this thread, joined the site and bought 2 of these.

Looks like one was made in 2007 and one in 2008 (at least that's the dates on the envelope with the casing in it). One has stamping on barrell just like the one in this post and one has larger stamping on the barrel.

That is one fine looking firearm. How is the recoil compared to an uncompensated gun? I'm considering the 642 PowerPort, but I haven't seen any reviews on it yet.
