586 No Dash

Picked up a pristine 586, no dash, Ser # AAA75XX. 6", high polish blue, with perfect Target Stocks. Seller said it is a first year gun, however the stocks are dated 2/5/1992. No box or papers, and looks too nice to shoot. Paid $500.00. Can anyone tell me what the year of manufacture is?

Probably 1980 to 1982,
AAA prefix guns have the cool large right TM too ..Lucky you !

Can anyone tell me what the year of manufacture is?

My AAA 79XX had targets dated 02/1981, so I'd guess your gun to be late 1980 to early 1981.

Thanks for help guys. It does have the big logo on right side, as my 1997 686 has a small one on left. Been working too many days, but will try to get a pic up here. I couldn't pass on this gun.

I agree with Hillbilly77. This gun dates to 1980 to 1981 and my interpretation of the serial #'s more likely places the date in 1980. Replacement grips?

$500 is a "boatload" price as in "I'd by a boatload of no-dash 586's in that condition for $500."

I just paid $500 for a 586 AAA83xx serial number , rubber **** grip and it looked no where near as good as yours !

I'VE GOT ONE WITH SERIAL#AAB7XXX, ANY IDEA OF ITS AGE? IT'S ALSO A NO DASH THAT HAS HAD THE RECALL DONE.
