Can the 5900 series safety be modified so is a decocker only? I know the 4006 CHP TSW guns had no safety and used the standard safety lever as a decocker only.

Second question is where can you find a bobbed hammer for the 5900 series.

You would need the spring loaded decocker body and to have the slide milled to accept it. Both parts you seek are available from Numrich.

Is it possible on a 1006?

I can deal with the safety, but my Berettas all are now G models. Would prefer a decock only setup on my 1006.

Thanks.

Does anyone do the conversion? Read the reviews, and said a new cut needs to be milled into the slide.

If it was just a parts swap, I'd do it myself. Milling the slide... way above my comfort zone.

I had him do the 10mm conversion on my 4013 and he did the decocker conversion on it at the same time. I can't say enough good about the work he did for me. Top notch quality work. Great communication, quick turn around and excellent pricing too. I couldn't recommend him enough.

Glad to hear.

I messaged Bill after I was linked that thread. Very good guy to talk to... and my 1006 will be going to him for the work. Bought the last .45/10mm decocker assembly from MidwayUSA earlier today.

Only issue is on my end, being I live in NJ... but will figure it out in the time it takes the decocker to come.
