Hey guys, I am new to the forum and new to Smith and Wesson autos...I just ordered a 5906 from CDNN for $299.00. It should be a my FFL on Thursday.

Has anyone ordered these from CDNN. I have never bought a firearm without seeing it first.

Also I was looking at getting a IWB leather holster for it. does anyone have recommendations.

How does this firearm carry.

I have never personally ordered from them, but couple of guys at work have are pleased with their purchases. You have just bought one of the true workhorses in the S&W line of auto pistols that has served law enforcement and now the public with same dependability, low care maintenance, and just downright boring looks for years. I have had(my loss) a 5906 that did everything you want a pistol to do when asked upon it. You probably won't end up carrying it because of the weight and frame size as the polymers of today with better options, but it is a tack driver in a different way. BTW, welcome to the forum and let us know when you purchase another classic auto from the line. If you are looking for nine in the smith line to carrry, most of the guys here would recommend the 3913 which does what the 5906 does in a single stack carry option. zorro49

I bought one from them a few months ago and I am very pleased. It looked like new inside and had very little holster wear outside. It even came with new Hogue grips and a case. I put a few hundred rounds through it with out a hitch. I didnt buy it as a carry gun so I cant answer your holster question but I did recently buy a Don Hume IWB for my 4516-1 and its a very nice holster.

Here is one of the CDNN 5906s. It had a little holster wear but I polished it with Mother's metal polish. I have bought several guns from them and have always forund them top notch to deal with.

I have bought three pistols from CDNN and some additional magazines. All purchases went smoothly. All items were, from my "non-expert" viewpoint, just exactly as described.

Crossbreed Supertuck with a good belt.

I've been wanting to order one of these myself...if I didn't have a pending deal to get a S&W model 59 I'd have one on the way.

Would suggest that you look at Milt Sparks Summer Specials for a IWB holster. I haven't owned a 5906 but have had the lighter, compact versions the 6904 and 6906s. Great solid realiable handguns.

Just picked up my CDNN 5906. Needs a good cleaning. Otherwise it looks really good! Can't wait to take it to the range!
