1. How does one remove the factory rubber grips from an S&W 5906?

Hogue did make wood grips for the 5906, not sure if they still do.

As far as removing the factory grips. Drive the pin out then pull back on the grips then down, should slid right off.

Factory rubber? Do you have a pin or screws? Remomve them and they go with Craig19's advise

And yes, Hogue still makes wooden grips for the 5906.
AND I have a pair NIB for sale by chance
