5906 Magazines

Where is a good source for model 5906 magazines. It appears that the Ebay police won't allow original 15-rounders.

Used in good mechanical condition would be OK.

And............ I assume model 59 magazines would work?

59 mags work ok. A lot of people swap out followers from black to orange and replace the spring.

Then they should be MecGars. S&W either makes their own, or has MecGar make them to S&W specs.

A month or two ago, someone talked about these mags and it was mentioned that they are Mec Gar's being sold under a brand called Original Equipment. I have no personal experience with them though, and actual Mec Gar's can be found for basically the same price. I like the 17-round mags myself.

Midway also has factory 15-round 5906 mag springs in stock, just picked up a few to refurb some old factory mags.

Midway now states quantity limit of 2 for the Smith & Wesson Magazine S&W 59, 459, 659, 910, 915, 5903, 5904, 5906, 5923, 5924, 5926, 5943, 5944, 5946 9mm Luger 15-Round Stainless Steel

Last month it was a 5 magazine limit.

Stock must be getting low so get them while they're available if you live where they are legal.

They are Mec Gar without the usual trade mark stamp. CDNN occasionally drops the price to $14.99 making them a great deal.

NTM 5906 Magazines.

I just purchased a New To Me 5906 last weekend and I'm going about picking up accessories for it. I did find Mec Gars on Ebay and from searching on line ALLOT these are the best and less expensive mags I've located.

So if anyone plans on researching or just searching for then 59 series of pistol magazines STOP! It's a waste of time. Just Ebay MecGar Magazines and choose between Blue or Stainless. I think it was $19.95 for blue and $22.95 for ss on 3/19.

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. I could be wrong.........nah!

I have to agree. My order for a couple 20 rounders went out within a few hours.

SOG had some 15 rounders a couple weeks back.
