A good deal at Cabelas? Thats almost unheard of!

Pre BassPro takeover I got a lot of really good deals at Cabelas. Negotiated best price then 10% military discount at checkout. Those days are over.

You got a steal on that one. Congrats! The 28-2 is one of my two N-Frames and it is a good one. I bought it for $750 with no box or papers and Pachmayr grips. I found a decent box and some other accesories on Ebay and added the wood grips.

My local Cabela’s had it. I was in the day they bought it and when I looked at it I told them to put my name on it. Then I came in the next morning to do the paperwork since they can’t sell it until it is officially in their inventory the next day..

Cabela’s gave you a deal like that? Will wonders never cease?

cmdrcody, that’s a very nice Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman you got there. Congratulations on the purchase. I like the 6” barrel HP’s. That’s sure enough a good price from Cabela’s.

I have a 6” barrel Model 28-2 HP with the original box and components. Mine has the football cut out targets (black washer) and a .400” smooth semi-target trigger and the box reflects the option. My gun is serial # N453XX and I have not lettered the gun. The SCSW catalog says somewhere between 1969 and 1972.
