New to me 28-2 Snub Nose

In addition to the already-mentioned advantage of being able to ensure the point of aim matches the point of impact, adjustable sights are much more visible, and can thus be acquired more quickly.

Shoot a 2" Model 10 and a 2" Model 15 and the difference becomes immediately apparent.
Honestly,I used to agree 100% with the line of thought that adjustable sights on a 2" gun were a waste. Then I bought my first 2" Model 15. They are fantastic shooters and give up nothing.

Agreed! I'll take target sights on a snubbie any day! I can shoot much better with target sights at just about any distance. I do have a 642-2 and Colt Detective Special with service sights, and they're good shooters...I just don't shoot them as well at any distance over about 7 yards.

I find that as I get older I am much more able to use adjustable sights more than fixed sights. smith Wesson 38 Apr 18 2025 c.webp

The new crane lock on the ejector shroud is very typical of Jovino but not many others. Most others that cut the barrel removing the ejector rod lock put the replacement lock in the top of the crane pressing into the top strap. I have owned several lettered Jovino modified N frames which are now all in my son's collection. There are a number of excellent threads here on the work done by the Jovino shop.

Beautiful gun. Wish it were mine!
