I purchased a 6.5" .500 magnum and took it out this weekend and was only able to fire 2 rounds both rounds would not let me open the cylinder or eject the rounds without taping the case out with a punch. The rounds were Armscor 300gr hollow points I purchased for range use, the case didn't expand it seems that the powder is blowing back into the cylinder causing the case to seize in the cylinder. When I tried to open the cylinder it left a big scratch across the spent primer and case. I have never fired a 500magnum before so I have nothing to reference the recoil to other than my Ruger SRH .44mag 7.5" which seems sharper and heavier than the .500. If anyone has any ideas please share thanks in advance for your help.
