6.5 Creedmore

I had heard of the 6.5 Creedmoor, but hadn’t really read much about it. This past week, I was working at a power plant up in the middle of the state and the Facilities Director was a good old boy with an encyclopedic knowledge of firearms. We sat in his office and talked about all sorts of weapons for over two hours. He was talking about the 6.5 CM and how a couple of his hunting buddies had completed AR-15 builds on it and had taken some bucks already. He was working on his own build and showed me pictures of it. He’s just waiting on a couple of parts from PSA to complete it. He mentioned that there was talk that the military was looking at it as THE round to replace the 5.56, so that made me want to read a bit more on it.

It will be in my hands in 2 days, but it will be a month or so before l get optics on it.

This past November I was watching through binoculars as my hunting partner shot a cow elk through the heart at 691 yards. The bullet shattered the shoulder before hitting the heart. Savage rifle, not sure what model.

I was lured in by talk on a radio program about 6.5mm creedmoor. I then began looking on YouTube and found Smith and Wesson performance center M & P 10 videos. I found this rifle to be very interesting. I always thought I would get an AR15 one day. Never planned on an AR10. I put a Burris veracity 5 - 25 x 50 scope on. Ammo is coming! Can’t wait for the break-in session to begin!
