60-15 3"..Found A Front Blade Night Sight!

Purchased this pistol in July 2014. Found the best pair of Pachmeyer grips for it. (Several kinds in fact)
The missing link... No NIGHTSIGHTS for the front blade. Finally, I called Smith and ordered the front blade sight for the 60 "pro series" slab sided barrel.
The front blades look identical.same everything.
Hopefully I've saved myself hundreds on a custom sight job.

How tall a front sight is it?

.296 Exactly the same size that comes on the 60-15. Except the 60-15 isn't Tritium, this one is.

Does it use the same size mounting pin or did you have to drill it out for a larger pin? Did S & W give you a part number. Just about to order a 60-15. On the bucket list.

Night Sight and Pin Part Numbers

Ordered the night sight and pin from Smith and Wesson. The front sight part number is 411990000. (.296 ramp) The pin is 294890000. The label states the pin size is .0595 x .240 long. (Inch)
The dot is very small as the blade isn't very wide to start with. Not really very bright either but it is a night sight. A gold dot front blade may be more practical but not sure of the durability of that sight on a holstered gun. About the same price.

A note, Midway has this night sight blade on close out for about half of the Smith price. (April 2015) I didn't know they even sold them until after I had ordered.

Now to build up the currage to drill the new front sight blade.
