Finally had a chance to take my latest 610 acquisition to the range and wring it out a bit. This is my fourth ND, a 6.5 inch that had been D&T for a scope mount, and that I eventually plan on reaming out to magnum since it’s already been modified. I had planned on putting a red dot on it, but the holes drilled for the Leupold rings don’t match up to the Allchin mount I bought. Oh well, now I’m going to have to buy another revolver that it will work on:D
I’ll end up putting the rings back on and find a scope for it since the magnum will be a longer reach cartridge anyway.

In the meantime, I borrowed a sight blade from another N-frame to go shooting today. I was shooting 175 grain conical lead bullets over 12.2 grains AA#9. 215 total rounds fired.

First two targets were 21 ft., with the first used as a sight in target. Third was at 35 ft., groups opened up a bit, then the fourth back to 21 ft. It’s an indoor range, so 35 ft. is my limit.

My mentor in handgunning spouted praise of the Mod. 610.
I was more feisty & had 2 revolvers in .41 magnum, & I discounted his idea of the ideal handgun.
Boy was I wrong , when it finally dawned on me … “ Moonclips for reloads”.
