I have a 629 3' that sat in my safe for 10 years,just recently I purcased a 617 and a 686.
In shooting these guns the 686 shoots dead on POA. The 617 and 629 shoot 12-14' low at 25 yards. I have the rear sight adj all the way down and I'm still low. I have to believe it is something I'm doing wrong on the adjustments not the guns. I have been shooting 40 years and never had this problem. Any ideas?

To raise the point of impact of the bullet on target, you need to raise the rear sight, not lower it. Doing so should rectify the problem.

That's correct, move the rear sight the direction you want the bullet impact to move. Up for up, right for right, etc.

Yes the grips are the same, the 686 and 617 are 6" barrels. I think I've spent to much time with scoped rifles. Thank You for your help.
