617 base drill and tap

On revolvers that are factory drilled and tapped the screw that holds the front sight on uses front scope-base screw hole.
So that must mean they have a different rear sight to match location ?

Thanks for the info I guess thinking about it if that small screw ever stripped out the fix would be plug the existing small hole drill a new hole in the location of the very front base mount hole ?

It was a bit windy and i was not happy with my rest I thought it would be rock solid but it was not I will try another set up in a week or two but Wednesday I will be jack rabbit hunting so to me that will be the tell all if I get any chances at those speedsters! I do feel the work I've done has definitely improved the gun so for that I'm relieved!

Nice work. Of course now, would like to see a range report.
Here's my target from yesterday my rest was not ideal I'm usually much more prepared with extra items but I had a very short window to get on the range due to a match, but this group is on par with my freedom arms revolver at 25 yards so I think the work I've done has definitely improved the accuracy I will do more range work in the next couple weeks
