I prefer the wider target versions.Can I assume that a new target hammer will be just a drop in? Thanks.

Not really. Hammers are fitted. It's not impossible, I had it happen for me (once). Typically they will need some light stoning and possibly/probably sear fitting to work properly.

If you have an MIM gun the hammer will be a drop in if you use the sear from your original hammer.
