If the gun truly is as described (unfired) and correct, I would expect to see an asking price of over $800. Actual selling price should be about $100-150 less.

Agreed.
I'm not a fan of the long tube models, especially with a full lug-I think most guys prefer the sixes, and certainly love the four inchers, but I see the grips adding a 100 in value,or being a nice bonus in buying a no dash.
I know the longer barrels can be harder to sell. I have a 10-shot (stainless cylinder) no lock 8-3/8's I have been trying to move off the table for around $825.....I have had it for a long time. The ND may command a little better price since you're looking at the box and all.
If you can get it and really want it....$800 would seem like a very good price.
None of the P&R 629 no dash revolvers are cheap and even though some say and 8 3/8 inch isn't popular but it and the 4 inch are also the rarest and for collectors that is important. I think I paid $780 for my mine and it looked unfired but didn't have the extra goodies to go with it.
629 no dash
About 3 weeks ago, I bought a 617-4" for 625.00 with the blue plastic case and all the paper work. I jumped on it bc they usually sell for well over 700.00. Happy as can be but haven't shot it yet. Have a set of round butt Hogue wood grips that should arrive by Monday. Larry
