Yes the gentleman out East is very happyI now have 2 long barrel VR and the short barrel fixed sight. Looking hard for a short barrel VR with adjustable sights. Also looking for a 622 short barrel in both fixed and adjustable sights. I will post my full collection once complete.
Jay my research from S&W indicated that there were only like 709 , 4.5" 622VR's made with adjustable sights, however fixed sights were even rarer with only like 320 made. I too have one of the fixed sight 622VR 4.5". We're almost related by virtue of having two of such a small number made, lol. We should share ser # via PM on the off chance they are consecutive numbers. Mine was apparently made after the production run ended. Probably from extra parts according to Mr. Jinks, so it's not likely but you never know.

Bad I just realized the date of mfg I gave you can't be right.
First it would have to have been 1995, not 85, but that doesn't make sense either since my info has indicated the VR's were only made in 1997. ??? I'd be curious what S&W tells you regarding the date.
