A local pawn shop has a 624 with a 6 1/2 inch barrel and factory targets. The gun is a VERY good condition. No box. They have it way over priced at $979 on sale for $800 which is still high. I'm not searching for anything in particular, so I'm not going to lay top dollar. What is a reasonable let price for someone like me who is just an opportunistic buyer.

This is one opinion: I find the 44 special to be a great round for target practice and for carrying in the woods out here on the farm.

It definitely has a following. The 3" 44 special is a gem. Great collector and exceptional carry piece.

I truly enjoy the 44 mag but there is something quite unique and enjoyable about the 44 special and I really cannot describe "it" effectively.

$800 is reasonable if in good shape with the box around these parts. Good luck buying it in 10 years or 5 years at that price.......

this brings back memories of my 6" 624 with target wood, I bought it about 15 years ago at a pawn shop for $189. and was the only looker they had, every one wanted a 629 they claimed, this turned out to be a one of the most accurate shooters that I have had

I'd wave 7 hundreds and a fifty at them and see what happens. I'd also have another fifty cause I probably would not let that one slide for that price today! Good luck with your deal! I am absolutely certain I would not let it pass if it were a 4" barrel.

I just purchased a 6 1/2"er for just shy of $700 but felt like I got really lucky. It's a VERY sweet shooter. $800 is a reasonable price but sure wouldn't hurt to try talking them down a little. Good luck!
