I have been working on this gun for about 2 years. My time is taken up by two kids and a full time job but I was finally able to complete the ultimate 625 snub today. I will include a couple pictures but I am more than happy with the results of this. Started with a 625-3 5" and ended with a 2" carry gun. I found the barrel on flea bay and added a C&S fixed rear with a tru glow front. Shoots POA with 185's I added a front locking detent to the yoke and gave it a glass bead finish. Thank you all for looking

Very nice. Probably more enjoyable to shoot than the scandium ones.
Have you considered bobbing the hammer? Or do you use it for retention?

Cool looking carry gun! Probably an equal or better than the PC shop iteration ;)

Is it my eyes, or does the ejector rod look a tad too short? maybe camera angle?

Very nice looking revolver. You have some talent as a gunsmith.
I'll bet it's a dream to shoot.

I have the 44 Mag. version from the Performance Center (629-6). It is as heavy as a brick, but still is manageable to shoot. I bet your 45ACP is almost a pound lighter!

I had trouble finding a holster to carry it, and just this year discovered DeSantis makes a Thumb Break Scabbard (OWB) for 3". Their number is 001TA43Z0 in Tan & 001BA43Z0 in Black. (I liked the black one so much I bought the tan one also!) I got mine for $68 OTD, and another place was $75+tax. Now that I have the holsters worked out, this will most likely be my cold weather carry gun!

The front sight is too high for pocket carry (I would have chosen a "Moon") but works fine in the Scabbard.

OP
Great job. That is about as "snubbed" as you can get while still having a barrel screwed into the frame.. Nice slick carry package that shoots big, fat bullets. What's not to like? Now "gas it up" and get to the range. I know we all want to see a range report.

Thanks everyone. Yes the ejector is slightly shorter than I'd like but I don't have one the right length. I will likely bob the hammer at some point and thank you for the holster suggestions. I will actually be making a holster for it next. I am going to get it out on Saturday to shoot I'm really looking forward to that

I have done the same thing as you but my snub is in 45LC.

Did your front sight come that way or did you raise it? Your rear sight came from Cylinder & Slide?

Thanks for your help, Lewel

Looks good, I like it. How about a pic with holster?
A repost but here's my round butted K 1917-10.

Old pics as now has a black Tyler grip.

Nice build. I like them short too. I bobbed my hammer. Had to replace the aluminum crane with a stainless one as it was flexing too much.

I will help you out. Cut a rod to what ever length you want, mail it to me with return postage and I will knurl the tip for you. Then you can grind down a center pin to match. Jim

But actually just what advantage is the knurling in the rod tip.??? I have it on all mine and have gone to the trouble of knurling cut ones and redoing messed up ones. But really why?

That's a very nice offer I might have to take you up on that one. I appreciate the kind words again guys.

The front sight is a suppressor height sight that was necessary to get the height right. I will post some pictures with a holster once I get the holster made for it, may take me a while yet to get that done but I will be shooting it this evening and will post some results
