Removing the hammer spur will effectively "disable" the SA. No additional intervention is necessary.

You can also remove the SA cocking notch from the hammer, being careful not to touch or alter the double action cam just beneath the SA notch. Hammer will no longer cock single action.








Another method would be to precisely fit and place a small rod inside the rebound slide spring (inside the rebound slide cavity) that is just long enough to allow the hammer to utilize (reach) the DA cam, but will restrict the hammer's rearward movement enough during cocking to prohibit engagement of the SA notch. In this case, SA can be restored at any time by removing the fitted rod from the interior of the rebound spring.


You might want to verify fitment and proper function of the donor hammer prior to making any alterations.
