I been looking for a 625 and come across this at a gun shop. I didn't know smith made one of these in a v-comp anyone have one that they can give any input on. It's used not sure of round count and has 4" barrel. Thanks

It's worth is somewhat dependant on what one is willing to pay. My personal opinion on that gun would be $700+, you don't see many V-Comp 625s. It'll be interesting to see what it sells for.

Not a -8, but this is my 625-6 "V-comp".

I think the only difference is the -8 has the internal lock. I bought mine new in August 2000 for $830. Low serial #80. Came in a aluminum Performance Center case with medalion, PC action job, plain-ish finger groove wood grips, dovetailed Millett orange front sight, and a plain short muzzle cap to replace the comp.

They don't sell often enough to have a good feel for current value, but it would take close to double what I paid to buy mine. I.E. - it's a keeper.

Good Luck...

Stay away from the one on gun broker, the guy is a joke, you can cleary see the gun has light surface rust all over the finish but yet is tells me the gun is mint and that is how it came from the factory, lol. I have been looking for one as well for a while and paased on one for 750 that was in 90 percent condition and now regret it if that give you an idea. If you find out the one that is at the gun shop is not the same one on gun broker buy it or if not let me know.
