625

Just bought a new 625JM, picked it up Saturday. It's my first .45 acp gun. While I was in the shop, I asked about ordering a 625PC. They had just gotten a new one in two days earlier so I bought it, too. UPS just brought me a big ol' box of bullets, brass, dies and shell holders yesterday. I'm savoring an enjoyable day of loading.

The JM has a fairly heavy DA pull with a nice SA pull. The PC has the nicest out of the box action of any of my S&W's except for a 14-3. I'll commit a heresy here but I really like the colored grips on the PC. They look better than they photograph.

I to have a 625-8 4". But it's not a JM it's a PC with a J point. It also came with the aluminum PC case which is cool. It loves the 200 HG #68 with 5.6 gr of 231. I actually like the moon clips, they also fit my governor . I got a reel good clip loading tool, it makes a big difference. Good luck with yours!

Absolutely love my 625-8, although I must confess, I only shoot Auto Rim in it, easier than messing with the moon clips to me.

I got mine about 6 months ago. Got it for a great price.
Miculek won't have to worry about me anytime soon....

(I would put the video HERE but I'm not smart enough to change the video format. I can e-mail it to someone if they want to help with that)

I have 4...A 625-3....3"&4".....A 625 mtn gun and a 22-4. Favorite is the mtn gun with the 3" a close second. Favorite load is my cast 230 gr. TC pushed by 5 grs. of WW231. I shoot a lot of AR brass. Sometimes I shoot 255 gr swc's in AR brass.....Works great!

It's got to be a least a month since I've posted these, but I like them so much I can't resist...

My 625-8 JM wearing Ahrends Cordia retro combats and 625-8 PC with flat side S&W combats.

Both excellent shooters and look great to boot!

It finally got here Friday. Shot it Saturday. When I first picked it up I thought oh no these grips are slick. But when you are shooting they don't slip at all they seem to get tacky but I don't mean the finish turns gooy or anything they just stick to your hands. After more than sixty rounds a had to quit. The heat and humidity not to mention the mosquitos got very bad. Not to mention loading and unloading all those moon clips with no tool. Got clips and loader on the way. Love it. It shoots better than I can with my 66 year old eyes.

I am 62, and put a Hi-Viz front sight on mine. Love it! Try RIMZ poly moon clips sometime. No tools needed. Good to hear you like that 625! Bob

Looks great. Those factory stocks were my only criticism of the JM. Your Ahrends solve that issue perfectly.
