Is this possible? I really love my 929, but I'd like to shoot 38SPL in an 8rd cylinder without buying another revolver.

thanks!

Face off the front of the 627 cylinder on the lathe to the right cylinder gap and fit the cylinder to the crane. The headspace stays the same at the back.

No. I kept the original 929 cylinder assy. and used a complete 627 cylinder assy. That way, I only have to take out the yoke and slide one out and the other one in and put the yoke with cylinder back in the gun.

Thank you, I might need your guidance if I can find a 627 cylinder assembly. Would you be OK with speaking with my machinist to go over the technical lingo so he can help fit this for me?

Thank you I appreciate that, now I just need to find a 627 cylinder assembly. Did you get yours directly from Smith & Wesson?
