Recently I found a long-sought 627-0 Model of 1989 (thanks again to Jim). I swapped out the Hogues for an extra pair of Combats I had. This is a very accurate and, I think, beautiful revolver, but it is a HEAVY beast! Here it is with my other 627s A prelock 5" 627-3 PC, and a 2 5/8" 627-5 PC.

My 627 2 5/8" PC and my 629 V Comp. If anyone wants to trade a 627 PC for the 629 V-Comp, let me know. I carry the 627 all the time as a car gun to supplement my daily carry HK VP 9 and it will be my primary carry gun when I have to spend a month in NY working this summer. If I am limited to seven in an auto, I would rather carry 8 of .357 Mag and no legal hassles.

The first 627 I purchased with it's ancestor (a 1950's 357). Just a note - this is such a great shooter that I have since purchased 3 or 4 more 627s...

Although the pre-war and early post war 357's will always be my favorite guns, I have to admit, those two extra holes in the cylinder make these 627's a DE-light to shoot.:):D

Am enjoying these pics of 627's. I kind of lust after one of my own.

I'd say this thread has potential to become epic, but the last time I said that the thread seemed to die right there.

So, I'll just say that I like the pics and hope they keep coming for a while. :D

I don't recognize that one eveled but I like it! What is that?

Thanks, I like it a lot too! It is just a plain Jane 627-5 4 inch barrel. It is not cut for moon clips. I believe it was the first 8 shot .357 production gun from s&w. I really like it's old school look. it shoots very well. Ed
