My 627PC came with a very nice 2 finger boot grip.

I've seen pictures of 627PCs with three finger factory wood grips. They seem to be similar in appearance to the 2 finger versions, but larger.

Does any know the S&W part number of these three finger, round butt N frame grips for Performance Center revolvers?

I am going to guess that you are talking about the Performance Center 2 5/8" 627 revolver.

These originally shipped with Secret Service Boot Grips manufactured by Eagle

I was not fond of them so I switched to the older factory Combat Grips

Are those what you are calling the "3 finger grip"?

Or perhaps you are refering the the finger groove grips that are produced by Altamonte, as seen on this revolver below?

Below are the grips I put on my 686PC 2.6" 8 Shot. I believe these are the ones you are looking for.

The same ones came on my 686 PC 2.5". But they were for a K/L Frame. I knew they were made for an N Frame as well, because them come standard on the 327PC 2".

Altamont is the company that makes these grips for S&W. They make most of the grips S&W is using on their revolvers today.

Do not buy them from S&W, they will charge twice the price. Buy them directly from Altamont. They don't list them on their site. Just email them this pic and tell them you want them for an N Frame. They will send you a PayPal invoice and you pay it, they ship them. You will have them in 5 days from when you place your order.

Here is their website, just email them the picture and they will take it from there

The grips you have on your gun currently are Eagle Secret Service Grips. They sell for $89. The Altamont grips should be under $60. So buy the new ones, sell yours and you will make a few bucks! Just put them up for sale right here in the Marketplace on this forum and they will sell in a day for the right price. Make them $75 with free shipping and watch them disappear.

Altamont can't sell the 686 PC grips due to their licensing agreement with S&W. I called them with that specific question. The closest they have in the K-L frame is the target style grip without finger grooves. I don't know if that's available in their N line.

As far as the 629 7.5" PC grip goes, I believe that is the standard Altamont combat grip. S&W sells them for $80, but they're $20-$30 less direct from Altamont.

Within the last year, on more than one occasion, I have bought more than one of both the S&W factory 686PC and 627PC grip direct from Altamont.

If you're looking for the N frame Altamonts just call S&W customer service and order them directly, S&W Product Code: 414170000 for $49 +shipping. They may or may not have any in stock but if not they'll ship them out to you when they get them in. I don't know what the part number is for the K/L version of the grips but a call to S&W CS should resolve that too.

I always seem to get the wrong person on the phone, I guess ... :(
