627PC problem, action

I have a fairly new 627 PC 8 shot,(500 rounds thru the revolver)the action binds sometimes when I shoot in double action mode. Sometimes the trigger is stiff/binds in the beginning of the trigger pull then release fast and sometimes at the very end of the trigger pull.(stiff binds then all of a sudden releases).

I do not experience this condition when working the action with no ammunition. Can someone advise the possible cause? I expect the ammunition may be causing this but I am not an expert. Thanks.

Something to try

You might want to ensure there is no oil or lube built up under the extractor star. Open the cylinder, push the ejector rod, as if ejecting empties, and wipe the underside of the star and the area it mates with on the back of the cylinder. Sometimes "crud", dirt/oil can build up there and cause some of the same kind of symptoms.

If you are using reloads check to make sure the primer is fully seated.

If you are using moon clips the moon clip may be bent. Other wise I would think high primers.
