Help please. Is My 629-1 a legitimate "Three T" model? If it is, what does the "3 Ts" mean as far as value and capability and collectability? Serial #N8971**, 4" barrel. Thank you.

Help please.

Is this correct for my 629-1,
Hammer: "Target" ?
Trigger: "Combat" ?
Grips: "Service" ?

How common is mixing these types?

Thank you.

From your pictures you definitely have a target hammer and your grips are target grips (not service). I would call the trigger a smooth target trigger but I am less certain about the use of that term. I do not know what constitutes a combat trigger. As to how common mixing is, anything is possible on a used gun. But I would say as to the gun in the pictures they all look to be original as shipped from the factory.

I'd just say what you have there is a nice gun. Having the original box and contents would add to your value if that is your concern. Those items plus condition and finding the right buyer determine value.

Thank you. This 629 has never been modified. I am the second owner, the original owner is a relative. He kept it stock as well base barely shot.

The source of these terms comes from the "Revolver Guy" https://revolverguy.com/rg101-hammers-and-triggers/

Your gun appears legit. It looks identical to my stock 4" 629ND. Even our grips are very similar. Serial #N85084**. I don't know what they are worth either but I will find out if/when I sell it. Very nice sir.

629-1 "3 Ts"?

Nice 629! Looks as it should!

Here's a photos of my 629 no dash, which is in the N852*** range and came with Target Stocks, smooth face Target Trigger trigger (.500") and Target Hammer (.500"). Yours is also that way, so that's what you must mean by 3T's.
