Hi All,

My first post here. I have searched in the past and found great info here so I now want to engage the forum.

I am looking a two 629-4 Classics with 5" barrels. The first one has a chromed target hammer and trigger and the second one has a color cased hardened hammer trigger.

I want to use these for paper punching and hunting.

Please educate me on the hard chrome versus CCH hammers and triggers. I'm interested in their function and desirability pros and cons. Is one better over the other?

Thank you for now!

Their both hammer forged.
The flash chrome will be more rust resistant.

I like the chrome myself, makes more sense on a stainless revolver IMO.

Thanks Guys,

I was thinking along the same lines as both of you. I have seen some of the CCH hammer spurs with signs of rust but not any that were chromed.
