629-4 Price Check?

Local dealer has a ported 629-4 Classic 6.5" bbl for $700. Piece is definitely a shooter, but timing is spot on, and no end-shake detected. Hand and ratchet look "crisp". I'd guess less than 1000 through it based on wear.

Go or no go from the experts?

M629-4 "Classic" with Power Port 6.5" was my last Smith purchase two months ago. I found it at a gun show, used, but in overall good condition. Light wear, with box and original papers, including warranty card. I paid $525.00 plus transfer to local FFL and background check. The selling dealer included a barrel lock, as is his policy. It is a great shooter, although I switched to M500 Monogrip to accomodate my hands. I intend to add a white outline rear blade. Nice gun!!

Gov, around here that price would be about right. $650-$700 for what its worth.

I paid $675 for an almost new one. Was a trade in and looked like it had never been shot or at least very little.
