The 5 inch Model 629 I had but eventually traded off. Great pistol. I carried it one deer season while rifle hunting for shots of opportunity that wouldn’t interfere with my buck hunting. I killed 3 deer with it.
For day in/day out carry, the 5" is hard to beat for balance and yet retain enough barrel length to take advantage of a stout 44 mag load. I'll still grab my 6.5" PP for deer hunting just for the added sight radius and fps, but the 5" for trekking through the woods all day..
