629 football or speedloader preference

Do you prefer a 629 with a speedloader cutout or football grips and why? Trying to decide between the two.

For normal carry or range use, I prefer the looks and feel of the football cut out. For a "protection" or duty gun, I would want the speedloader cut version. However, for me its kind of a moot point since my shooting guns do not wear factory targets. Hogue stocks fit me better.

If rapid reloading with a speed loader is important, then I'd go with the speed loader stocks or aftermarket stocks that do not interfere with a speed loader.

They are called "speed loader cutout" for a reason! If you are going to load with a speed loader you will have major problems with the foot ball cutout! I like my 629s dressed for show!

They are called "speed loader cutout" for a reason! If you are going to load with a speed loader you will have major problems with the foot ball cutout! I like my 629s dressed for show!

IMO, it's really a ho-brainer, if you plan on using speed loaders, then go with that version, otherwise you will ding up the football style.
