According to SCSW4, the N800000 to N900000 range is 1980 to 1983 and being midrange of the 800000 serials, I would guestimate around late 1981 to early 1982. Interestingly, the N900000 to N97xxxx range is listed as 1982-1986, so there is some overlap.
