My only complaint about my 632 3" is the black front sight blade. To remedy this I had my gunsmith install a red insert making for much easier and faster sight acquisition. A simple $10 modification making a great revolver even better.

My gunsmith has an outdoor range, and after installing the front sight insert he wanted to try my 632. We put 100 rounds through it and my gunsmith said he was impressed. He usually shuns the newer S&Ws preferring the revolvers with forged not MIM parts, but this one was to his liking. He's an old school guy well into his 80s, and still doing what he loves best. It was a good day, thankyou Bob.

Great looking!

I went low-tech and hit the front sight with fingernail polish on my 60-14. I prefer the looks of yours however. I'll have to stop by my gunsmith and get an estimate from him.

I just spoke with two local gunsmiths today and was quoted $45-65 to do an insert in my front sight. Ouch! I may just stick with the fingernail polish. I will put in a call to S&W and get a price on a factory sight with the insert. They come standard on some 627's.

There is a paint I've seen at gun shows which is fluorescent in nature and in about 5 very vivid colors. If you do a Google search for sight paint it should come up.
Just an alternative to the nail polish thought.

Ouch! When I lived in Chicago the gunsmiths there charged really high prices for their labor. Now moving to a small western Illinois town I was fortunate to find an excellent gunsmith who does great work at great prices.
