Just picked up this little Beauty. Not 100% sure if this is one the FIRST 20 or so PC guns or a Lew Horton Distributed of 300. Serial PCU0017 This thing is AMAZING. action is quite Unreal.

Just thought I would Share a few Pics

Congratulations on a fine addition

If that box is original to the firearm, there should be no doubt as to what you have. The 6 digit product code is all you need to research the revolver.

I am guessing that is a 170043

Not original. Just how I store it. No label. I'm assuming a blue PC case.

Congratulations on a nice find. Is that a 2 1/2 inch barrel?
It looks really good with those grips. What are they?
Anyone have a date for that gun?
I wish I could shoot it with my 640 to compare what the port does.

This is a resurrection of a whopping 10-year-old thread, but did you ever discover more information regarding your gun? Someone else mentioned they thought it might be product code 170043, but it's much more likely to be a #170042 with non-factory stocks.
Here is my Lew Horton 170042 Carry Comp that another member sold to me not long ago. Its serial number PCU0016 is exactly one single digit older than yours, so it seems safe to assume they're identical twins.
According to the SCSW they made 300 of these in 1993; 150 were produced with rosewood panels and the other 150 came with the Badger combats like mine. It seems like there might be a small discrepancy in the serial prefixes mentioned in the book, though. It says they had either a RPC or PCT prefix but PCU was obviously used as well.
Hope this helps.
