Hello everyone!

What’s the exact difference between 642 Performance Center (chromed trigger, wood/rubber grips) and 642 Performance Center Enhanced Action (regular trigger, Altamonte wood grips) - second one is actually a few bucks cheaper?

TIA!

They both have PC tuned triggers.
The PC 642 cylinder is cut for moon clips and it doesn't have an IL. The PC 642 EA is not cut for moon clips and it has an IL.

The other differences are cosmetics and grips.

I've been reading up on these newer PC J frames, because I pick up a used PC 442 last weekend at a swap meet. Mine appears to be from around 2016-17 and originally came with the DeSantis Clip Grips (I had the Eagle boot grips stashed away). I will say that the action is pretty smooth. I wasn't in the market for one of these, but the seller quoted me a price I couldn't refuse!

Aha!! So the presence on the IL explains the lower price of the PC EA.
My main interest is in the trigger/action - same?

Thanks for your help!

I think the actions are both PC-tuned. The PC 642 has polished cylinder flutes, thumb piece, trigger, sideplate screws, cut for moonclips, the hybrid rubber/wood grips and no lock. I have a PC 642 and it is the bomb.
