I recently bought a 642 and it is a great gun but I was wondering if the trigger pull weight can be safely reduced? I am used to the M&P so the pull weight takes some getting used to and I tend to pull to the right. I understand that this will reduce with time and practice but a lighter pull would be nice.

You can dry fire the crap out of it. The trigger pull on mine became much smoother.Maybe my finger became stonger? Changing the spring would also help but you might have more ftf's.

I had Gemini Customs work my action over and retained the factory springs. It is as smooth as a babys butt and reliable with factory springs.

I don't think I would want the trigger pull to be any lighter. I don't like the idea of a loaded gun in my pocket with a light trigger that close to my junk.

That being said, the factory trigger on my 642-1 is quite smooth.
