I have a 645, about 95%, 2 original mags, not original grips, but period. Box, papers, ship date may '88, protected adjustable rear sight, ambi safety with Phillips screw, extra grips by altamont. Sooooooo, what's itpossibly worth? I really want a 38-44 (trade)

I see one for sale now with interested buyers in the condition you mentioned with the features you also noted currently at $615.00.

Wouldn't pay extra for an adjustable rear sight. I mean, why? It's unneeded on a "combat" handgun - which is what the 645 and 45XX-series guns were supposed to be.

Adjustable sights are for gun-gamers, bullseye comps, and general range use.

Sometimes there are inconsistancies between different lots of ammo, especially in "combat".

Being able to adjust POA to POI goes a long way to inspiring confidence in a difficult situation.

And the protected adjustable sight on S&W 2nd/3rd gen pistols is the best Combat Adjustable Sight ever produced.

S&W charged extra for them, and they knew what they had.
