I was hoping that someone could tell me what I should pay for a Model 646 40 Cal. Revolver. It is not the PC model. I was wanting to know if it has or had any major issues. I do not reload so I will be shooting factory rounds 100 percent of the time. Also it is the gun only no box no papers. Thanks, any help would be great.

I have the one I bought new, and it is fine loaded to ICORE power factor (120), but I find it tiring to shoot a USPSA match with full power ammo in the light revolver. The only major issue I know is people destroying cylinders by trying to scrub them "new again." The titanium is fine if you just clean normally and accept the stains.

What is it worth? Dunno, there were fewer than 1000 made, and there is not a very lively market in them. Here's an old thread:

You are the only one who can determine what it is worth to you and how much you are willing to pay for it.

I purchased one a couple of years ago and I guess I paid more than I should have, but that is one revolver they don't make any more and one that I wanted.

With that being said, I think I would purchase it at most any price.

FYI...Mine was an original run PC model and the Aluminum Case all papers and Original Moon Clips unused with 50 clips from moonclips.com. It went for $900 on Gun Broker several years ago. That was the "buy now" price and the buyer told me he was afraid the bidding would go higher so he bought it at that price.

I have one and carry it a lot. The only caution I would give is "Do not try to shoot steel case ammunition in it!!!" (don't ask me how I know because I apparently missed the caution in the owner's manual) no damage resulted but it caused the pucker factor to increase for a little while.

Thank you!

Thank you for the info.......... Well a quick update I did get it along with a 610. So needless to say a am pretty happy right now. Both revolvers have had trigger work done and I am going to have them checked but all in all I did well. I need to purchase Moonclips for both and quality holsters but I can not wait to start enjoying them.

The moon clips that fit the 610 are not the same ones that will fit the 646.

The 610 is a N frame, and the 646 is a L frame.
