I attended a gun show today with two goals: buy a nice .38 snub nose for concealed carry and hopefully buy it from a private individual. I succeeded on both counts. I picked up a nice 649-1 with rubber grips. It is in great condition with nearly new looking finish and a tight lockup. I do have a few questions:
1. I know this revolver is not rated for +P but how much risk am I really taking if I carry +P? I would do most of my practice with standard rounds with only enough +P practice to get comfortable with their performance.
2. What is a good laser grip for the revolver? My eyes aren't what they used to be (particularly in low light) and a laser would be very helpful.
3. Serial number is BFK1XXX, when was it made?
Thanks in advance for the help.
