Could anyone help in the manufacture date of a 649-2 serial number BPC6737. Will be picking up in two weeks. Thanks

I think it would be made in the late 80's and early 90's. My Mom has a 649-2 and she got it in 93. It is a good gun. It does like a 158 grain lead bullets if you can find them. Try some Buffalo Bore if you do not hand load. They are really good guns and fairly accurate. It will become a favorite of yours.
