Trying to get some information on a nice Model 66-1 Pinned Barrel 6 inch. It’s very clean and the gentleman is asking $800. The box incorrect and does not match to the pistol……

Any model 66-1 owners out there……

Spend the cash or pass……

62k serial shows 1980. For me, the incorrect box is nothing of value. I paid 650 for my 66-1 in my area, same condition no box. That was last October. Most 66’s in 4 and 6 inch I have seen between 600-750. If you want it, and need one for the collection, go for it.

I agree, it not like its a common find in many areas. So if that is the case for you, bring cash and plop down $750 and take it from there.
Worth noting is that it looks like it has a smooth .375" combat trigger.
Mine came with the standard thin serrated service trigger ( and service hammer and of course, target stocks).

So you could argue that it's not factory and it will cost ya $75 min to have a service trigger installed.

That is an excellent revolver! Mine has an excellent action.
But make sure you check it out mechanically!! This forum must have a sticky thread with that info.

Worse case you can sell the box for $50 or more on fleabay
