Made an unplanned stop at one of the pawn shops I try to get to every so often and spied this 4" specimen in the gun case. Screamed at me it needed a home. $599 OTD. The grips I had laying around for about a year and a half. Glad I finally found something to put them on.

If I were in the market today for a Model 66, the Model 66-1 would be first (and probably all alone) on my list of choices. All of the best ideas come together in this variant. Congrats on a great gun at a good price.

I was fortunate enough to become the new owner of the same model except mine is monogrammed with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol emblem. A generous forum member made this possible for me, late last year.

In an attempt to improve, I’ve promised myself to shoot only this gun in 2019, and only in DA.
