66-2 Snub, Serial # Question

Hey, I have a 66-2 with 2.5 barrel. with Serial # ALU28**

I thought the ALU prefix were for the Ashland 3" Version?

Anyhow, Wondering on date of Production?

Are the last two digits below "66"?

There are 3" in the ALU's (higher serial numbers) but there are also 2.5" (lower).

(mid) 1985, like the 3".

ALU was one of the SN prefix’s for the Ashland guns. Mine is ANA. I don’t think SW reserved a SN prefix for any specific run.
